Prohibition in Bakersfield?
Here's a bar called the Monte Carlo, out on Tafy Hwy. They used to serve ice cream in the front store and beer out back. This photo is from the 1936, so prohibition had ended by then.

I heard that back in the day there was a brothel upstairs. Have you heard this?
